Guntersville Spay/Neuter Program

Tails & Ales of Guntersville has partnered with the City of Guntersville to offer low income spay/neuter vouchers.

  • You must live within the city limits of Guntersville

  • You must submit proof you currently receive government assistance or have an annual income of less than $37,600

  • This program is for owned pets only - no strays or feral animals, and you must submit one application per pet

  • The voucher includes spay/neuter surgery and a microchip donated by Tails & Ales of Guntersville.  If your pet is already microchipped, you must inform the veterinarian at time of scheduling the appointment.

  • Services beyond what the voucher includes must be discussed with the veterinarian when scheduling the appointment and are at your own cost – e.g., pre/post-operation procedures and medication, nail trimming, dental

  • If your pet is in heat or pregnant at the time of the appointment, the veterinarian has the right to apply a fee at your expense, or refuse service

  • Your pet must be up to date on their rabies vaccination as required by law.  If your pet is already vaccinated, bring proof at time of appointment.  If your pet is not vaccinated, you will have to pay the cost of the rabies vaccine.

  • If you would like an application sent to you, provide email or mailing address to iris@taguntersville.org

  • Thank you for being a responsible pet owner by spaying/neutering your pet!
